  • Fundraising for Impactful Projects

Our club supports various initiatives that, while not exclusively focused on Youth, Leadership, or Education, make a significant impact in the communities they serve both in Australia and around the World. These have included Wells for Cambodia, RARE – Rotary Australia Repurposing Equipment, and The Mother and Childcare Appeal – Afar people of Ethiopia

We take great pride in being a Gold Donor for the Dr Julie Zrna Centre, having contributed $50,000 to support the establishment of the new cancer accommodation centre.

  • Education

Our members provide mentoring and support through programs such as the TAC L2P program and Homebase Hoops. We offer St Joseph’s College Mildura students practical hospitality experience during our annual Longest Lunch.

We also support student to attend the National Youth Science Forum.

Additionally, our educational outreach extends to the rural, urban and remote areas of Uganda where we support the Project of Self Help Uganda (POSHU). This initiative aims to create vibrant, healthy, self-sufficient and self-determining communities with hope for the future.

  • Rotary Club of Mildura Deakin

The Rotary Club of Mildura Deakin is the only breakfast Rotary Club in Sunraysia. We have three main areas of focus:

    Youth and Leadership

Our club actively supports Rotary Youth Leadership programs such as the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA), Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment (RYPEN) and Rotary Youth Exchange.

We support youth initiatives that provide young individuals with opportunities that may otherwise never have been available to them. Most recently these have included SuniKids Dream Ltd, Southern Cross Kids Camps and Huxley’s Heroes.

We have been a long-time supporter of the Northern Mallee Leaders program, aligning with their mission to develop community leadership. Many or our club members are proud alumni of this program.
